The best online casinos for US players are the ones that accept your state, pay out in a way that suits you and publish their bonus terms in full. The five real money online casinos in the ranking above all take deposits by card or crypto, and none of them asks for more than $25 to unlock its welcome bonus. This guide sets out what each one does well, what its bonus really costs to clear, how long a withdrawal takes and how online casino play works across the United States.
The best online casinos on our list, compared
These are the best online casinos on our list, in the order of our ranking for most US states. The table compares the details that decide whether a site suits you: the welcome offer, the wagering rule behind it, how you can cash out and how long the casino says a payout takes. The card and crypto versions of each offer, and the minimum deposits, are in the profiles below. The figures come from each casino’s own promotion, banking and help pages, read from a US connection.

Two things the headline percentage hides. First, what the wagering multiple applies to: “30x deposit + bonus” on a $100 deposit with a $300 bonus means $12,000 in bets. Second, any cap on what you can cash out from the bonus. Both are covered with worked numbers in the bonus section below.
The best online casino for each kind of player
- Poker and casino on one balance: Ignition Casino, the only one of the five with a poker room.
- Lowest wagering on the welcome offer: Ignition Casino, at 25x the deposit plus the casino half of the bonus.
- Biggest match on a small deposit: DuckyLuck Casino, 500% by card or 600% with crypto.
- No cap on bonus winnings: SlotsandCasino’s card welcome offer.
- A bonus taken in three steps: Jacks Pay, 200% on each of your first three deposits.
- Available in the most states: Jacks Pay, the one pick our ranking shows everywhere.
- Quickest crypto cashouts on paper: Ignition Casino, with Bitcoin Lightning payouts within 15 minutes of approval.
- High-stakes live blackjack and bank deposits: Cafe Casino.
#1 Ignition Casino: casino and poker on one account
Ignition is the pick for players who want a full casino and a busy poker room behind one login and one balance. Its welcome bonus is split between the two: with a crypto deposit you get up to $1,500 in casino bonus at 150% and up to $1,500 in poker bonus at 150%, for 300% up to $3,000 in total. A card deposit gets 100% for each side, up to $2,000 in total.
Only the casino half has a playthrough. It is 25 times the deposit plus the casino bonus, which is the lowest multiple of our five, and you have six months to finish it. The poker half has no rollover at all: it unlocks in $1 steps as you earn Ignition Miles at the poker tables over 30 days.
Cashing out is crypto-led. Ignition lists Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, Ethereum, USDT, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV, plus vouchers, player transfers and MatchPay. Approval usually takes about 24 hours. After that, Bitcoin arrives within 24 hours, Lightning within 15 minutes and the other coins within an hour.
- Best for: poker players, blackjack fans who want variants such as 21 Burn, Zappit and 22 Blackjack, and anyone who wants a low wagering multiple.
- Keep in mind: live dealer games and Hot Drop Jackpot slots don’t count toward the bonus, and the maximum bet while a bonus is active is 20% of your deposit.
- Not shown in: Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York.
#2 DuckyLuck Casino: the biggest welcome match
DuckyLuck has the largest percentage match on our list: 500% up to $2,500 on a card deposit of $25 to $500, plus 150 free spins handed out as 50 a day on Mythic Wolf, Golden Gorilla and Five Times Wins. Crypto deposits get 600% instead, with a 40x playthrough.
The match comes with two rules worth reading twice. The card offer is 30 times the deposit plus bonus, so a $100 deposit becomes $18,000 in required bets. Winnings from the bonus are capped at ten times your deposit. Free-spin winnings carry 30x wagering and a $100 cap.
Deposits start at $25 by Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, USDT, Bitcoin Cash, BNB, Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Withdrawals go out by Bitcoin or USDT, with a posted time of four business days and a $25 minimum, or by bank wire or paper check, which take 20 business days and need at least $150. Standard members can withdraw up to $2,500 a week.
- Best for: slot players who want the most bonus money and free spins per dollar deposited, and are happy to play through them.
- Keep in mind: live dealer games, craps and progressive jackpots are excluded from the welcome bonus.
- Not shown in: Maryland, Michigan and New Jersey.
#3 SlotsandCasino: a match with no cashout cap
SlotsandCasino’s card welcome is 300% up to $1,500 on deposits of $25 to $500, with 100 free spins paid out as 10 a day for 10 days. What sets it apart is its rule on winnings: the card offer states no maximum cashout, so a big win while clearing the bonus is yours to withdraw in full. The playthrough is 30 times the deposit plus bonus.
The crypto version is larger, at 500% up to $2,500 with 150 spins, but it carries 40x wagering and a cap of ten times the deposit. For most players the card offer is the better deal, even though the headline is smaller.
Banking matches DuckyLuck’s: the same nine deposit methods from $25, crypto withdrawals in a posted four business days, and bank wire or paper check in 20 business days. The table games include a $1-minimum Blackjack the casino rates at 99.43% RTP, and Three Card Poker with a Pair Plus bet that pays 40 to 1 on a straight flush.
- Best for: players who want a bonus where a large win isn’t trimmed by a cap.
- Keep in mind: the 100 free spins arrive over ten days, not at once.
- Not shown in: Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi and New Jersey.
#4 Jacks Pay: a welcome spread over three deposits
Jacks Pay spreads its welcome over your first three deposits: 200% up to $2,000 each time, for up to $6,000, plus free chips worth $25, $25 and $50 after deposits one to three. Crypto deposits can claim 250% up to $2,500 three times instead. Both versions carry 30x wagering on the deposit plus bonus, and bonus winnings are capped at ten times the deposit.
Spreading the offer out has a practical benefit. You can clear a smaller first bonus before deciding whether to deposit again, instead of locking a large balance behind one long playthrough. Existing players get 5% weekly cashback and tiered reload matches through the Jack’s Royal Club.
Jacks Pay’s terms say it is licensed to operate in Curaçao. It is also the one pick on our list that our ranking shows in every state, including Maryland and New Jersey. Its live casino, run by Fresh Deck Studios, has blackjack, roulette, baccarat and hold’em tables, and its Luxe Multipliers Blackjack carries a published 99.61% RTP.
- Best for: players who would rather take a bonus in three steps, and players in states where the other four aren’t available.
- Keep in mind: free chips need a deposit to trigger, and default caps apply to their winnings.
- Shown in: every state our ranking covers.
#5 Cafe Casino: slots, free spins and quick crypto cashouts
Cafe Casino is Ignition’s sister site (both name Arachis Media in their licence statements), with a slot-first lobby and a wider choice of payment routes. Its crypto welcome bonus is 300% up to $2,000 plus 150 free spins; by card it is 200% up to $1,500 plus 75 spins. The spins are worth $0.20 each on Sushi Wins: Reels and Rolls, Cai Fu Dai Panda and Pearl Pursuit, and their winnings carry 40x wagering with a $100-a-day, $300-total cap.
The match bonus carries a 40x playthrough, and Cafe gives you only seven days to complete it. On a $100 card deposit that is $12,000 in bets in a week, so the bonus suits regular players more than occasional ones. Weekly House Boost reloads (75% up to $1,000 with crypto, or 25% up to $500 by card) carry the same 40x.
Cafe takes cards from $20, direct bank transfer from $50, MatchPay and player transfers from $10, and seven cryptocurrencies. It processes withdrawals in 24 to 48 hours, or about 24 hours for crypto, then sends Bitcoin within 24 hours and other coins within an hour. Its live lobby lists VIP blackjack tables with maximums of up to $50,000 a hand.
- Best for: slot players, players who want a bank transfer or MatchPay option, and high-stakes live blackjack.
- Keep in mind: the seven-day bonus window is the shortest on our list, and bonus funds can’t be used at live dealer tables.
- Not shown in: Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York.
How online casinos work in the US
An online casino is a website or app where you play casino games such as slots, blackjack, roulette and video poker against the house. Real money play means you deposit funds, place bets in dollars or crypto and withdraw winnings. Three quite different products sit under the same name in the United States, and it helps to know which one you are looking at.
Offshore real money casinos
The five casinos ranked on this page are offshore sites. They are run from outside the United States and accept players from most US states; the ones on our list that name a licence cite the Anjouan Gaming Board or Curaçao. They offer large libraries of slots and table games, crypto banking and large percentage match bonuses. A casino accepting players from your state does not mean that state licenses it, so read your state’s rules alongside the casino’s own terms.
State-licensed online casinos
Seven states run licensed online casinos, and Maine has passed a law to join them. These licensed casinos are approved and supervised by state gaming authorities, several of which publish the list of sites allowed to operate. The state section below lists where they operate.
Sweepstakes casinos
Sweepstakes casinos use two virtual currencies: one for play only and one that can be redeemed for prizes. No purchase is necessary to play, which is the legal basis they rely on. Sweepstakes casinos are not real money online casinos in the usual sense, New Jersey and New York have banned them, and California has passed a law on them.
Free play and practice mode
Many real money casinos let you try casino games without staking money. Ignition advertises a practice mode for its casino games, and Cafe Casino offers its blackjack and keno games in a free demo. Practice play is the best way to learn a game’s rules and paytable before you put real money on it. Our guide to free online casino games covers this in more depth.
How to compare online casino sites
Our ranking of the best online casinos does the first sort for you, but the right choice among casino sites depends on how you play. Run through these checks in order, because the early ones rule sites out and the later ones only rank what is left.
- Check that the casino accepts your state. Our ranking already adjusts to where you are, and a casino’s terms list the states it refuses.
- Find out who runs it. The footer or terms should name the operating company and the licence it holds. See how we judge this in our guide to reputable online casinos.
- Match the cashier to your money. If you want to withdraw to a bank account rather than a crypto wallet, rule out casinos that only pay in crypto.
- Read the full bonus terms. Look for the wagering multiple, what it applies to, the game contributions, the maximum bet and any cashout cap.
- Look at the games you actually play. A huge slot library means little to a blackjack player who wants single-deck rules or a $1 table.
- Find the account controls. Deposit limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion should be easy to find before you need them.
Our own method, and the weight we give each factor, is set out on the how we rate page. If you want sites that launched recently, see our guide to new online casinos.
The top online casinos publish their rules where you can read them before you register. All five on our list publish their welcome terms, deposit minimums and withdrawal timings on pages anyone can open. That is a better sign than any badge: a casino that hides its playthrough or its withdrawal limits until you have deposited is telling you something.
Warning signs to walk away from
Some problems show up before you deposit. Walk away from any casino that doesn’t name its operating company, hides its wagering rules until after you register, lists no withdrawal limits or timings, or asks you to deposit again to unlock a withdrawal. Pressure from support to take a bonus you didn’t ask for, or a cashier that offers dozens of deposit methods but only one hard-to-use withdrawal route, are warning signs too. None of these proves a bad operator on its own, but two or three together are a good reason to choose another site.
Opening an account and getting your winnings paid
Signing up at an online casino takes a few minutes. Getting paid for the first time takes longer, because of the identity checks every casino runs before it releases money. Knowing the order of the steps saves most of the frustration.
Registering and making a first deposit
- Open the casino from the ranking and choose sign up. You give your name, date of birth, email, phone number and home address.
- Confirm your email or phone if the casino asks you to.
- Open the cashier, choose a payment method and deposit at least the bonus minimum: $20 at Ignition and Cafe, $25 at DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay.
- Opt into the welcome offer if it isn’t added automatically. Ignition adds its welcome bonus after your first deposit; DuckyLuck’s is claimed in the cashier.
- Play the games the bonus counts on, and track your wagering in your account.
Verifying your identity (KYC)
Before a first withdrawal, expect to send a photo ID, a recent proof of address such as a utility bill or bank statement, and sometimes a photo of the card you deposited with. Ignition and Cafe both publish their KYC policies in their footers. Sending documents as soon as you register, rather than when you first ask for a payout, takes the check out of your first withdrawal’s timeline.
Use your real details and open only one account. A name or address that doesn’t match your documents is a common reason a payout is held.
Requesting a withdrawal
A withdrawal has two stages, and casinos quote them separately. First comes approval, when the casino checks your account, your bonus status and your documents. Then comes delivery, when the money moves through the payment method. Ignition quotes about 24 hours for approval and up to an hour for most coins after that; DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay quote four business days in total for Bitcoin and USDT.
Keep your own records: the amount, the method, the date of the request and any transaction ID. If a payout is late, that record is what support will ask for.
Casino payment methods and withdrawals
Payment methods matter more at offshore gambling sites than anywhere else, because the payment method you deposit with often decides how you can withdraw. Crypto is the fastest route at every casino on our list. Cards work for deposits, but none of the five pays winnings back to a card.

Crypto deposits and withdrawals
Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and USDT are accepted at all five casinos, and crypto is the payout method the casinos steer you to. Withdrawals are faster because there is no bank in the middle, and crypto deposits often unlock a bigger bonus. The trade-off is that crypto transfers can’t be reversed: a payment sent to a wrong address is gone. Copy and paste wallet addresses, never type them, and send a small test amount the first time. Our guide to crypto casinos explains wallets, networks and fees.
Credit and debit cards
Visa and Mastercard deposits work at all five casinos, and DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay also take American Express. Card limits are tighter than crypto: Ignition takes card deposits of $20 to $1,500 and Cafe $20 to $1,000; the other three start at $25 and list a $750 maximum for American Express. Some US banks decline gambling transactions as a matter of policy. That is the bank’s rule, not a fault with your account, and switching to crypto or another card usually solves it.
Bank transfers, paper checks and MatchPay
For players who don’t want to hold crypto, bank transfers are the main alternative. Cafe Casino accepts direct bank transfer deposits from $50. DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay pay out by bank wire or paper check, but those take a posted 20 business days, need a $150 minimum and aren’t offered in Maryland or Washington.
MatchPay, at Ignition and Cafe, is a peer-to-peer exchange: you buy or sell casino credit with other MatchPay users, who pay or are paid through apps such as PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and Cash App. The casino doesn’t take the app payment itself. MatchPay deposits at Cafe run from $10 to $2,000.
Withdrawal limits and why a payout gets held
Every casino caps how much you can take out at once. DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay set a $2,500 weekly limit for standard members. Cafe caps Bitcoin and Litecoin at $10,000 per payment, with weekly ceilings of $100,000 for Bitcoin and $200,000 for Litecoin. VIP and hosted players can have different limits.
When a withdrawal stalls, the cause is usually one of four things:
- Your identity documents haven’t been approved yet.
- A bonus is still active and its wagering isn’t finished, so the casino holds the balance.
- A deposit is still pending; Cafe says all pre-authorized or pending deposits must settle first.
- The amount is below the method’s minimum or above its limit.
Welcome bonuses and wagering, worked through
A welcome bonus adds casino credit to your first deposit, but you can only withdraw it, and what you win with it, after you have bet a set amount. That amount is the wagering requirement, and it is where offers that look similar turn out to be very different. Our page on online casino bonuses covers every bonus type; here is the arithmetic for the five casinos above.
What a $100 deposit really gets you
The table takes each casino’s card deposit bonus and a $100 deposit. “Bets needed” is the wagering multiple times the amount it applies to. The last column is the average amount those bets cost on a slot that returns 96%, the house’s 4% edge on every dollar wagered.

| Cafe Casino |

40x deposit + bonus |

Take SlotsandCasino as the worked example. A $100 deposit brings a $300 bonus, so your balance is $400. Thirty times $400 is $12,000, the total you have to bet before the bonus and its winnings can be withdrawn. At an average loss of 4 cents per dollar on a 96% slot, $12,000 in spins costs about $480 on average, which is more than the $400 you started with.
That doesn’t make the bonus worthless, but it changes what it is for. Most players run out of balance before they finish the playthrough; the ones who finish are usually the ones who hit a good win early. Treat a welcome bonus as extra playing time with a chance at a withdrawable win, not as free money. The lower the bets needed, the better your chance of seeing it through, which is why Ignition’s 25x on a smaller casino bonus is easier to clear than DuckyLuck’s much larger match.
Game contributions
Not every bet counts in full. At Ignition, slots and specialty games count 100%, table games 20%, video poker and most blackjack 10%, roulette and baccarat 5%, and craps, single-deck blackjack and live dealer games nothing. DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay use a similar chart, with craps at zero. At 10%, the $12,000 playthrough above becomes $120,000 in blackjack bets, so for table players a bonus can be more trouble than it is worth.
Maximum bet, expiry and cashout caps
Three more rules decide whether a bonus suits you:
- Maximum bet. Ignition and Cafe cap bets at 20% of your deposit while a bonus is active. A bigger bet can void the bonus.
- Expiry. Ignition allows six months; Cafe allows seven days. DuckyLuck and SlotsandCasino don’t state an expiry on their welcome pages.
- Cashout cap. DuckyLuck, Jacks Pay and the crypto offer at SlotsandCasino cap bonus winnings at ten times the deposit. SlotsandCasino’s card offer has no cap.
Free spins and free spin offers
Free spins are bets on a named slot paid for by the casino, and three of our five picks, DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Cafe, include them in their welcome packages. Their value is the spin size times the number of spins, and their winnings usually carry their own playthrough and cap. DuckyLuck’s 150 spins are worth about $1 each, with 30x wagering on what you win and a $100 cap. Cafe’s spins are worth $0.20 each, with 40x wagering and a cap of $100 a day.
A worked example: 50 Cafe spins at $0.20 are $10 of play. If they return $12, you need to bet 40 times $12, or $480, to withdraw it, and you can take out no more than $100 from that day’s spins. Free spin offers are a pleasant extra on a welcome package, but the spin value, not the spin count, tells you what they are worth.
No-deposit bonuses
None of the five offers a no-deposit bonus to new players: every welcome offer needs a first deposit. Free chips do exist for existing players, such as DuckyLuck’s monthly new-games chip and Jacks Pay’s daily new-games chip, but each one needs a $25 deposit to trigger.
Reload bonuses, cashback and rewards
After the welcome bonus, the value moves to ongoing deals: reload bonuses, which are deposit bonuses for existing players, plus cashback and rewards. Cafe runs weekly House Boost reloads; Ignition sends a targeted crypto Weekly Boost to accounts older than 30 days; Jacks Pay pays 5% weekly cashback; DuckyLuck and SlotsandCasino pay daily cashback set by your rewards level and a 3% rebate on crypto deposits. Ignition’s loyalty scheme pays 3 Miles per $1 played, doubled on its game of the week. Read reload terms as carefully as welcome terms: Cafe’s reloads carry the same 40x playthrough as its welcome bonus.
When to say no to a bonus
Declining a bonus is often the right call. Skip it if you mainly play blackjack, video poker or live dealer games, which count for little or nothing; if you want to withdraw soon after a win; or if you plan to bet above the maximum bet. Without a bonus, your deposit and winnings can be withdrawn whenever you like.
Online slots and progressive jackpots
Slots are the largest group of casino games in every lobby on our list, and the games where welcome bonuses count in full. They are also the games where the rules are least visible, so a few minutes with the paytable before you spin is worth it. Our guide to online slots goes deeper on themes, and our page on casino software providers covers who makes the games.
How online slots pay
Every slot has a return to player (RTP), the share of all money staked that it pays back over millions of spins. DuckyLuck lists 5 Times Vegas at 96% and Fruit Diamonds at 96.41%; Bigger Cash Win is 95.86%. The other figure that matters is volatility. A low-volatility game pays small wins often, while a high-volatility one pays rarely but bigger. Bigger Cash Win is rated low-medium and Fruit Diamonds medium, with a top win of 5,000 times the stake.
Paylines and ways to win decide how symbols line up into wins. A 50-line game at $0.01 a line costs $0.50 a spin if every line is active, as with 8 Lucky Charms at Ignition, while a 243-ways game pays for matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right.
Bonus rounds and features
Most modern slots add bonus rounds: free-spin rounds triggered by scatter symbols, pick-and-win games, expanding wilds and multipliers. These features are where most of a game’s top wins come from, so a slot’s base game usually pays less than its RTP suggests while the bonus round pays more. The paytable shows how often the feature triggers and what it can pay.
Progressive jackpots and mega jackpots
A progressive jackpot grows with every bet until someone wins it. Ignition and Cafe run Hot Drop Jackpots across a group of slots, and DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay list progressive jackpot games in their bonus terms. Our guide to Mega Moolah looks at one of the best-known progressive slots. Two rules apply at all five: progressive and Hot Drop games are excluded from welcome bonus play, and some jackpots need a maximum or side bet to be eligible, so check the game’s rules before chasing one.
Low-stake slots
You don’t need a large bankroll to play. Five Times Wins takes one-cent coins, 5 Times Vegas starts at $0.09 a spin, and Cafe’s Animal Wilds runs from $0.15 to $150. Small stakes stretch a deposit across more spins, which matters when you are working through a playthrough.
Table games and video poker
Table games and video poker give you the best odds of any casino games if you learn the rules. Our overview of online casino games introduces each family; this section is about the versions our five picks run. The trade-off is that most table games count for 10% or less toward bonus wagering, so table players often do better without a bonus.
Online blackjack
Blackjack is the classic table game and the one with the most variants on our list. Ignition lists 16 RNG blackjack games, from single deck and double deck to 21 Burn, 22 Blackjack, Zappit and Dragon Blackjack, with side bets such as Perfect Pairs, 21+3 and Super 7. Cafe lists 21, adding Pirate 21 and Pontoon. Both start at $0.10 a hand.
DuckyLuck and SlotsandCasino run a dozen blackjack games from $1 to $1,500 a hand. They publish an RTP of 99.43% for their standard Blackjack and 99.2% for Double Deck; Jacks Pay’s Luxe Multipliers Blackjack is listed at 99.61%. Those returns assume basic strategy. Our guide to the lowest house edge blackjack games explains how rule changes move the edge.
Online roulette
Roulette comes in two main versions, and the difference is pure arithmetic. A European wheel has 37 pockets with a single zero, so the house edge on every standard bet is 2.70%. An American wheel adds a double zero, giving 38 pockets and an edge of 5.26%. Choose the single-zero wheel whenever both are offered; Ignition and Cafe carry European and American tables in their live casinos.
Baccarat and craps
Baccarat is a game of three bets, player, banker and tie, with no decisions after you bet. The banker bet has the lowest edge, which is why casinos charge a commission on banker wins; the tie bet’s big payout comes with a much higher edge. Ignition’s live casino adds Speed Baccarat and Super 6. Craps is a dice game whose pass and come bets carry a low edge, but it counts 0% toward bonuses at Ignition, DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay.
Casino Hold’em and other table games
Poker-based table games pit your hand against the dealer’s, not against other players. Ignition and Cafe carry Caribbean Hold’em, a house-banked version of Texas Hold’em, and Caribbean Stud with bets from $1 to $500. Jacks Pay has a live hold’em table too. Among other table games, Three Card Poker at DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay pays 40 to 1 for a straight flush on the Pair Plus bet, and Pai Gow at DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay lists a 97.27% RTP with bets from $1 to $250.
Video poker
Video poker pays according to a fixed paytable, so you can know your return before you play. Ignition states 99.54% for Jacks or Better with optimal strategy, and carries Double Double Bonus Poker, plus Jacks or Better and Joker Poker in 1-hand, 3-hand and 10-hand versions. Cafe says many of its video poker games return over 99% with optimal strategy. DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay carry Deuces Wild and Deuces and Joker, where the royal flush pays 4,000 times when you bet the maximum five coins.
The paytable matters more than the game name. The same Jacks or Better with a lower payout for a full house or flush returns noticeably less, so compare the paytable before you play.
Keno and specialty games
Specialty games include keno, scratch cards and wheel games. They are quick and cheap to play, but many carry a higher house edge than table games. An exception is DuckyLuck’s own keno, which lists a 99.07% RTP. Ignition and Cafe’s Keno Draw lets you pick up to 15 numbers from 80 for as little as a cent a round.
Live casino games and live dealer titles
Live casino games stream a real dealer and a real table from a studio, and you place bets through an on-screen layout. They bring back the pace and feel of a land based casino, with the cards and wheel in front of you rather than a random number generator. Most casinos list their live dealer titles in a separate lobby.
What each casino’s live lobby offers
Ignition and Cafe stream from ViG studios. Ignition has more than two dozen blackjack tables with limits from $10 to $1,000 up to $25 to $10,000, plus live American and European roulette, baccarat, Tri Card Poker and game shows. Cafe’s lobby lists VIP blackjack tables with maximums of up to $50,000 a hand, and its classic eight-deck tables seat seven players at $10 to $5,000.
DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay use Fresh Deck Studios. Jacks Pay lists live blackjack, roulette, baccarat and a hold’em table.
Betting limits and bonuses at live tables
Live dealer tables have higher minimums than RNG games, typically $10 or more against $0.10 to $1, because every table needs a live dealer. Bonuses rarely help: Ignition counts live dealer play at 0% toward rollover, Cafe doesn’t allow bonus funds at live tables at all, and the welcome offers at DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay exclude live dealer games. If live dealer play is your main interest, deposit without a bonus.
Online poker and how it differs from casino games
Online poker is played against other players, not the house. The casino, or poker room, takes a small fee from each pot, called rake, or an entry fee in tournaments. That makes poker the one casino-site game where your skill against the field decides your long-run result.
Ignition Poker
Of our five picks, only Ignition runs a poker room, sharing your casino balance. It offers Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo, and cash games start with buy-ins as low as $0.50. Its anonymous tables hide player names, which makes it harder for regulars to track recreational players, and Zone Poker moves you to a new table with new cards as soon as you fold, for two to three times as many hands an hour.
Rake on no-limit and pot-limit games is $0.01 for every $0.20 in the pot, capped by stake and table size. Tournaments run from micro buy-ins of up to $5 to high rollers from $75, and a guaranteed $200,000 event runs every Sunday at 4 PM ET, with a $162 direct buy-in or qualifiers from $1. Jackpot Sit & Go games pit three players against each other for a prize of up to 1,500 times the buy-in.
Casino poker versus poker rooms
Casino poker games such as video poker and Three Card Poker are played against the house at a fixed edge, like other casino games. Poker-room play is against other people, and only the rake goes to the operator. If you enjoy decisions and want to improve over time, the poker room is the better fit; if you want a quick hand with a known return, video poker is.
RTP, house edge and what to expect
Return to player (RTP) and house edge are two ways of saying the same thing. A game with 96% RTP has a 4% house edge: over a very large number of bets, it keeps 4 cents of every dollar staked. Neither number tells you what will happen in one session, which is why it is possible to win at a game with a house edge, and why nobody wins at it reliably.
Theoretical loss, worked through
Your expected cost is the total you bet times the house edge, not your deposit times the edge. Someone who deposits $100 and makes 1,000 spins of $1 has wagered $1,000, because wins get bet again. On a 96% slot that is an average cost of $40. On European roulette, with a 2.70% edge, the same $1,000 in bets costs $27 on average; on blackjack at 99.43%, about $5.70.

Variance and bankroll
Variance is how far results swing around that average. A high-volatility slot can lose a whole session’s budget without a feature, then pay hundreds of times the stake in one spin. A low-volatility game swings less. Set your session budget so that a run of losses at your normal stake doesn’t end the session in minutes: a budget of 100 to 200 bets is a sensible floor for slots.
Why gambling isn’t income
Every game in an online casino has a house edge, except poker against other players, where the rake plays the same role. Over time, the edge wins. Play for entertainment with money you can afford to lose, and count any win as a bonus rather than a return.
Mobile casino play
Casinos don’t all handle mobile play the same way. Before you deposit, open the casino on your phone and check that the lobby, the cashier and the document upload all work there, since those are the parts you will need on the move.
Browser play versus dedicated mobile apps
Cafe Casino says you can play in your browser with no download or use its mobile app on iOS and Android. Ignition’s poker client runs in a browser too, including in portrait mode on a phone, and its tournaments need no plugin. If a casino offers an app, download it only from the casino’s own site or an official app store, never from a link in a message.
Making mobile play safe and smooth
- Use a stable Wi-Fi or 5G connection for live dealer games; a dropped stream mid-hand is resolved by the game’s rules, not your intention.
- Turn on a screen lock and use a password manager for your casino login.
- Upload verification documents with your phone camera straight after you register.
- Use your phone’s own screen-time controls alongside the casino’s deposit limits.

Online casinos: legal status by state
Online casino law in the United States is set state by state. Federal law doesn’t license online casinos; it leaves that to the states, and most have not done it. Separately, offshore casinos accept players from most states under their own terms. This section explains both, and which of our picks you will see where you are.
States where online casinos are legal and live
Seven states have licensed real money online casinos running today: Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and West Virginia. Each state approves its own operators.

Maine and Nevada
Maine became the eighth state to authorize online casino games. Its law, chapter 538, was enacted on January 11, 2026 without the Governor’s signature and took effect on July 29, 2026; only the state’s federally recognized tribes can hold a licence. When we checked, Maine’s Gambling Control Unit was still writing its rules and was not yet accepting applications, so there are no legal Maine online casinos to play at yet.
Nevada is the reverse case: it licenses online poker but not online casino games. Its interactive gaming regulation bars operators from taking wagers on any game other than poker and its approved variants.
Federal law and offshore casinos
No federal law licenses online casinos. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 bars gambling businesses from knowingly accepting credit, electronic fund transfers or checks in connection with unlawful internet gambling, and it defines “unlawful” by the federal or state law where the bet is made. That is why some US banks decline casino deposits. The Wire Act has been read two ways by the Justice Department, in 2011 and 2018, and in 2021 the federal appeals court for the First Circuit ruled that it covers only betting on sporting events.
The five casinos on this page are offshore sites that accept players from most states under their own terms. A casino accepting players from your state doesn’t mean your state licenses it, and the rules differ from state to state, so check your own state’s law as well as the casino’s terms.
Sweepstakes casino bans
Several states have moved against sweepstakes casinos. New Jersey’s law of August 15, 2025 made paid online sweepstakes casino games unlawful gambling. New York’s ban on online sweepstakes games was signed on December 5, 2025, and California’s governor signed AB 831, a bill on gambling contests and sweepstakes, on October 11, 2025.

Online casino winnings and taxes
The IRS treats gambling winnings as fully taxable income, including winnings from online casinos, and they must be reported on your federal return whether or not you receive a Form W-2G. Gambling losses can be deducted only if you itemize, and only up to the amount of winnings you report. Keep a record of your deposits, withdrawals and sessions; state income tax rules vary.
Safety at online casinos comes down to three questions: who runs it, how its games are tested, and what you can do if something goes wrong. Marketing badges answer none of them; the casino’s own terms and policy pages do.
Licensing and operator details
Ignition and Cafe Casino state that their licensee is regulated by the Anjouan Gaming Board in the Union of the Comoros, and name the operating companies in their footers. Jacks Pay’s terms say it is licensed to operate in Curaçao. These are licences issued abroad, not by US state regulators, so they don’t give you a US complaints route. Read each casino’s terms for the company name, the governing law and its dispute process before you deposit.
Game fairness and testing
Online casino games use a random number generator (RNG) to decide every card, spin and roll. Ignition and Cafe both link a “Fairness and RNG Testing Methods” policy from their footers, along with their dispute resolution procedure. Live dealer games use real cards and wheels on camera, which is why many players prefer them for table games.
Customer support
All five casinos run help or FAQ pages covering banking, bonuses and verification, which settle most questions faster than a chat queue. When you do contact support about a payment, give the amount, the method, the date and any transaction ID in your first message, and keep a copy of the conversation.
Use responsible gambling tools before you need them. Many casinos let you set deposit limits by day, week or month, take a cooling-off break, or self-exclude for a set period or permanently. Ignition and Cafe both publish self-exclusion and responsible gaming policies in their footers. Setting a limit when you open the account takes a minute and protects every session after.
Wager responsibly
- Decide your budget before you start, and never top it up in the same session.
- Set a time limit; casino games have no natural end point.
- Don’t chase losses with bigger bets. The house edge doesn’t change because you are behind.
- Don’t gamble to solve money problems, or when you are stressed or have been drinking.
If gambling stops being fun, help is free and confidential. The National Problem Gambling Helpline, run by the National Council on Problem Gambling, is 1-800-MY-RESET, available by call, text or chat at any hour. Our responsible gambling page lists more support.
Online casino FAQs
Which online casino pays out the fastest?
Of our five picks, Ignition and Cafe Casino are the quickest on paper. Ignition approves withdrawals in about 24 hours and then sends Bitcoin Lightning within 15 minutes and most other coins within an hour; Cafe processes crypto in about 24 hours. DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay post four business days for Bitcoin and USDT.
What is the minimum deposit at these casinos?
The welcome offers need $20 at Ignition and Cafe Casino and $25 at DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay. Ignition’s cashier accepts USDT deposits from 5 USDT, and Cafe takes MatchPay and player transfers from $10, but a deposit under $20 doesn’t qualify for the welcome bonus.
Can I deposit with a credit card?
Yes. All five accept Visa and Mastercard, and DuckyLuck, SlotsandCasino and Jacks Pay also take American Express. Some banks block gambling payments; if your card is declined, crypto or another card is the usual fix. Winnings are paid by crypto or another withdrawal method, not back to the card.
Do I need to verify my identity before I can withdraw?
Expect to. Casinos check your identity before releasing winnings, usually with a photo ID and proof of address. Uploading them when you register means your first withdrawal isn’t held while they are reviewed.
What does “30x deposit plus bonus” mean?
It means you have to bet 30 times the combined deposit and bonus before you can withdraw the bonus or its winnings. On a $100 deposit with a $300 bonus, that is 30 times $400, or $12,000 in bets. A rule of “30x bonus” would need only 30 times $300, so the base matters as much as the multiple.
Are there online casinos with no deposit bonuses?
Not among our five picks: every welcome offer needs a first deposit. Free chips for existing players need a $25 deposit to trigger, and default caps of around $100 apply to winnings from free bonuses.
Which casino games have the best odds?
Games with published returns above 99% when played well: Jacks or Better video poker at Ignition (99.54%), Luxe Multipliers Blackjack at Jacks Pay (99.61%) and Blackjack at DuckyLuck and SlotsandCasino (99.43%). European roulette (97.30%) beats American roulette (94.74%), and the slots quoted in this guide return between 95.86% and 96.41%.
Can I play online casino games on my phone?
Yes. Cafe Casino says you can play in a phone browser with no download or through its app on iOS and Android, and Ignition’s poker room runs in a phone browser, including in portrait mode. Check the cashier and document upload on your phone before you deposit.
Do I have to pay tax on online casino winnings?
Yes. The IRS treats gambling winnings as taxable income that must be reported, including casino winnings. Losses can be deducted only if you itemize, up to the amount of winnings you report.
Are online casinos legal in the US?
It depends on your state. Seven states license and run legal online casinos: Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and West Virginia. Maine has authorized them but not launched, and Nevada allows online poker only. The offshore casinos ranked here accept players from most states under their own terms; the state section above explains the difference.
Is online poker the same as casino poker?
No. Online poker is played against other players, with the room taking rake from each pot, so skill decides results over time. Casino poker games such as Three Card Poker, Casino Hold’em and video poker are played against the house at a fixed edge. Ignition is the only one of our five picks with a poker room.
